I friended it, came back later, and have read it all.

I must say, I feel so vindicated, sitting here in a Target T-shirt, Target pajama pants, Target bra, and Target underwear (Hanes, actually, but I bought them at Target).

And I still think of Heath, and my Mom, in the present tense, too.

I just read this interview and I must say, it is fantastic! I am so jealous; I wish I could have been there, too. Did you videotape it?

Livejournal may be a confusing experience for people more accustomed to the forum-style of interactive communication.  There are a few minor processes you need to follow in order to access this content, so I decided to quickly put together a list of steps to take to read the content.

1) You need to register at www.livejournal.com and open a new account.  It's a generally straightforward process.  If you are going to register just to read this content, then stick with the basic info requested and follow any verification procedures (usually an e-mail with a link to click to activate an account).

2) Come back here and click http://dontwanttosaygb.livejournal.com/10050.html which will take you back to the article.  To protect their privacy and the integrity of their article, they have chosen to restrict its access to people who are on their "friends list."  That means you need to request to be added to that list, and they need to approve it, to unlock the content and make it visible to you.

3) To request a friend list addition, I clicked: http://dontwanttosaygb.livejournal.com/ and then, while logged into LiveJournal, at the top left of the page, I found a link to add them as a friend.  I clicked that link and made the request.

4) You still won't be able to read the content until they accept your friend request, but they indicate they are checking and approving those requests regularly, so it should not take too long.  You can then check back later in the day or the following morning and see if you can now read the article.

They have requested that people not cut and paste their work on other sites, so we should respect that and follow the proper procedure to gain access to the content.  It won't take more than a few minutes, and from the sounds of it, will be well worth it.

I hope this helps folks.

It was worth the wait of signing up and then being added to the friends list to read the journal. Thankyou so much for taking the time and trouble to post it. The details were so vivid, I felt I was there with you, I wish !!!!
It has also restored my faith in Jake, which was wavering slightly. He is obviously just grieving in his own way.I too still think of Heath in the present tense. It is my way of coping.
So a big massive thanks again.

The description of Jake using the present tense was really striking and touching to me too.  It's as if he's still trying to process what's happened.

The tragedy with Heath sometimes still just seems so confusing and shocking for so many people.

Ted and Lisa,
I enjoyed reading your adventure, how you wrote it, very much. Of course like everybody else I loughed and cried. Great pics too.
It is comforting to me to know that Heath too is aware of the positive impact BbM has had on so many people, and of the Brokie communities.
Jake is a great guy (and so are you). I feel as if I am met him myself. Now that he has met two Brokies like you he might have a look at Brokies forums, or Emily on his behalf.
Thank you again for sharing.
BbM, I swear

Oh My Goodness. That was amazing. I never thought it would be possible, but I officially love Jake more than ever. ;D

And Heath is my hero.

This story is one of the best I have ever read.

Having just finished reading it from beginning to end, I feel like I am still there with Lisa and Ted, sharing this amazing meeting with such a fantastic bloke.

Wasn't it wonderful what Jake wrote on the photos. Wasn't it wonderful that he accepted and understood how Lisa and Ted, and all other Brokies felt about the movie.

The discussions on Heath, were so moving, and so solemn.

Thank you so much Ted and Lisa. I dont think I will ever forget your story about this adventure.

I too have learnt to laugh and cry at the same time.
Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect.

It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfection

I would love to read the story but I have a problem. I'm a registered LiveJournel member but I'm afraid to ask to be a part Ted and Lisa's friend list. I'm not sure that they would want to accept my invite. ???
