We did a bunch of these "What is it" polls last year and everyone seemed to have fun with them. So, I thought I'd post another one just for fun!

Take a look at the picture below and then try to guess what it is. I will post the answer some time late next week.

This object is approximately 42 inches tall and made mostly of wood.

I don't know what it is but guessed it's an antique wooden capstan, because it looks like it's on a sailing boat.

Handspikes were inserted into the holes, it was then turned to bring up the anchor or move other heavy objects.
