Since we have no running What is it poll at the moment, I thought I'd try one

.

This thingie is about 30 centimeters long. That's about 11 inches.

I will not hand out bunnies as prizes. Promise!

Chrissi, that thing is weird looking! It looks like it has those little rubber thingies down at the bottom of each wire, like those massage deals have on them. So I'm guessing it's some sort of massaging device.

Sorry I'm late to this game. As many of you know I've been out of town. But, I'm finally back in Pittsburgh now.

Ive been pondering over this one today....I voted early, and voted for kitchen utensil, but the more I look at the picture, that answer seems far too obvious because there is no doubt it does look like a mixing whisk.

So I had a look thru the other answers to think what else it could possibly be and I want to change my vote to a Needlework/crochet/knitting utensil...

You just may be correct Sue! Good luck!

But I still think it's some sort of massager device.

I'm sticking to my answer because of those little rubber bulbs, or tips at each end. They put them there so as not to injure the skin. At least I THINK they do!

I guess we'll find out soon, won't we? Chrissi said she'll post the answer later today.

For everybody who had a wrong guess and for the anonymous person, I have consolation prizes: another massage device. I have no idea how this thingie is called in English and my dictionary doesn't know either. Literally translated it would be hedgehog ball, which I think is a cute name.

Edit: meanwhile my own brain started to function again (although I didn't have a brainshower in the meantime

). Suddenly I thought 'massage ball', I bet that's what they're called. And low and behold, a quick google search with that term showed me the expected pictures. Sometimes it's soooo easy!

But now you know what a cute name we Germans have for them

It's a highland cow !!! From the highlands of Scotland.Any time my fringe/bangs got too long my dad would say, you look like a highland cow trying to peer through that.
I think they're cute.Wish I had entered now.

Congrats to everyone and thanks for my cute, cute cow and calf, Chrissi. My friend who lives on a ranch has a baby calf up at the house every now and then that they have to feed when the mom won't or can't. They are so cute taking that big ol' baby bottle.

I think they're really pretty, those Highlanders

. The Scottish have more furry cattle breeds, Galloways and Belted Galloways, which are also pretty, but their hair is not as long as the Highlanders'.

my neighbor is an eighty year old man....boy am I glad I have a partner. (nothing against old people but I am not sure how he would react)
