Living Up on Brokeback Mountain: A Provision List
« on: May 31, 2006, 08:42:31 pm »
Cruisin' Amazon yesterday found this page someone made, and thought it was purty darn funny.

P.S. Re: the Lazy Sunday SNL rap. Given the many spoofs it spawned, including the Lazy Muncie rap that David/TheStudDuck posted, has anyone seen (or created) a Lazy Brokeback/Lazy Summer rap? ("I love elk meat like Jack loves Ennis!" anyone? How 'bout "'cause beans & whiskey is crazy delicious!" Or, make that, "'cause Ennis & Jack are crazy delicious!"

I thought I remembered seeing this one on the Malcontent Video site--

  http://malcontent.typepad.com/malcontent/video/index.html

In looking for this shopping list, I realized that Malcontent still has SO many Brokeback related videos--  I got really sidetracked!  If there are any of the TV appearances you wish you'd saved...I'll bet they're here.  I found the award shows, the appearances on talk shows, documentaries, previews (from last August!)...  everything! Check out Rupert's 'Maker Makes' video, if you haven't done so, it's very nice.  If you go to this site looking for BBM videos, just scroll down (by date) to find the biggest concentration of items in the couple of months following the release date, and more throughout this year.  Any BBM related stuff and Malcontent was ON it, even peripheral items like Willie Nelson's 'Frequently, Secretly...' video.  It's a great place for browsing!

Those lists are a riot!  ;D

Melinda, thanks for the link to malcontent.  I browsed a bit over there and was dismayed to read that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are planning a remake of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."  Nooooo!!  That should SO be a job for Heath and Jake in a few years, after the BBM furor has died down.   >:(

Anybody heard anything more about this movie? If Matt and Ben are doing Butch and Sundance, who would be Sundance? I'm confused.

No. They can't be serious.  :o That would be a worse movie than Butch and Sundance: The Early Years.  ;D

a) Butch Cassidy should not be remade in the first place.

b) If it is remade, it should only be Heath and Jake. They are perfect for the parts.
