LOL, I agree I try to post a few everyday.  I just love that thread!....Found some really cute dog and cat shots last night that worked really well.

Yes I seen them...adorable! That thread really had a magic all of it's own. Actually it always cheered me up. Got to keep hunting for pics even though it's a little harder now but I know there is loads out there. Or maybe.... we could come up with another idea or theme we could all jump on again!

P.S  I loved your work over there because you told alot of the story through passages from the book. Very interesting.

maybe this will stir some new people to check it out???

Hi, my name is Lynda and I'm an 34 year old woman from the Netherlands. I'm happily married and working as an office manager.
I stumbled upon this forum through Louisev's LJ (Laramie Saga) and I am so glad to find out that I'm not the only Brokeback fan that still 'recovering' from the movie.

No, you're not the only one by a long shot, Lynda. Welcome. Though most of us here may not be crying ourselves to sleep anymore over this movie, we are still talking about it, playing it out (check the Performance thread--you'll be hooked!), and just generally enjoying each other's company. It's a great community of rather wacky people, who are also very loveable.

Welcome also to all the people who have come over to say hi and introduce yourselves to us in the past few weeks. Sorry I wasn't here to personally say howdy when it happened. We are always glad to see new people, and hope you'll stick around for a good spell.

Welcome EVERYONE!

(And a special welcome to Amber, my fellow Washingtonian.)  I hope you all find little niches here and there on BetterMost to call home, AND play the field all around.  There's so much goodness here, there's Never Enough Time, Never Enough.

My name is Marcia.  My husband, six dogs, two goats and a chicken flock of fluctuating sizes live in west-central Missouri, not far from Kansas City.  My family moved to Atlanta, GA from south Florida when I was 10, grew up in north Atlanta and went to school at University of Georgia.  I moved to the Kansas City area in 1988. My husband and I met in 1985 and married in 1991.

My long list of jobs includes executive secretary, Target cashier, editorial assistant, museum "specialist", tax preparer and legal secretary and I did several years of feature and ad copy writing in Atlanta. Most recently, I've been resurrecting and renovating some rusty writing skills with a fanfiction project at LiveJournal under the name "Talks to Coyotes".

Long-time interests, aside from BBM, are history, especially the 19th century, Jesse James history, Third Reich/holocaust history; dogs, quilting (more interest in that than time to do it!), religion and philosophy.

Have been a member of the DC forum since February, and Louise introduced me to this one. I'm still in the process of looking around!   :)

My name is Laurel.  I live in Connecticut. I'm 44 years old, and married with two boys.  Louisev introduced me to this forum.  I love her Laramie Saga, so I will be spending a lot of time on the Ennis and Ellery thread, but I'm sure I will find other areas of interest, too.  I've never joined anything like this before, but I was so moved by Brokeback Mountain that I feel the need to spend some time with people who understand how I feel.
What Jack remembered and craved in a way he could neither help nor understand was the time that distant summer on Brokeback when Ennis had come up behind him and pulled him close, the silent embrace satisfying some shared and sexless hunger.   -Annie Proulx (Icon by alighttofollow)
