Scotch Egg

I watch a lot of cooking shows and read a lot of cookbooks and I have never heard of a Scotch Egg before today:

I can't seem to get the link to work. I'll go over to Wikipedia and type it in manually. That does look quite interesting, almost like a deep fried hard boiled egg! :laugh:

Yeah, that sounds pretty good! When I first saw the name of this, I thought you were talking about Scotch as in Scotch whiskey and somehow eggs and whiskey together seemed a bit strange.

It's basically just a hard boiled egg covered with sausage and bread crumbs, and then fried  :o

I love boiled eggs. I dont know if I would like them deep fried!!   :laugh: :laugh:

I don't know if I am going to like them that way either, but I am going to try making them tomorrow   :D

You lot have never had or heard of a scotch egg!?

They're not very tasty IMO - although admittdley I ahven't had one since I became a veggie 18 yrs ago!
