What Movie Is This Quote From?
« on: October 05, 2008, 01:37:12 am »
Read the quotes below, and the first person to guess the correct movie will win a lamb!

Okay. This one may be a bit difficult, so I'll post three quotes from the movie and also provide a hint:

This movie is from the 1950's and it was filmed in black and white. And it's also one of my favorite movies! :D

Here's the quotes:

"He was such a lovely, dear little boy. He used to say I was his sweetheart and he was going to marry me when he grew up. I would laugh so. "No you won't. You'll forget about me long before then. You'll find a prettier girl and marry her." And do you know what he said then? "No, I won't. 'Cause there isn't a prettier girl in the whole world than you are."

"You hit him with the shoes, didn't you? You hit him with the shoes, that's how he got those half moon marks on his forehead and on his hands. Answer me Rhoda. ANSWER ME!"

"You sound like Fred Astaire tap tap tapping across the floor ."

Do you know which movie it is? :)

Okay, I'll give another quote from the movie. Now this quote is a converation between two people. I can't give the names or else it could give away the movie. I guess I can put Rhoda's name in there because her name was already mentioned up above. But I can't put the other person's name in there.

Here's the quote:

The Mother: "Rhoda, what happened to old Mrs. Post in Witchita?"

Rhoda: "There was ice on the steps and I slipped and fell against her, and that was all."

The Mother: "That was all? "

Rhoda: "No. I slipped on purpose."

You still don't know it Jess? I was sure you would guess it after that last quote. Here's one more:

"I'm drunk. It's a pleasure to stay drunk when your little boy's been killed. "
