i think the same as well everytime watching the movie. that on that very day, he is going to meet the love of his life....wow..how amazing if we know things like that in advance...

Ennis thinking:

Don't know why but somethin' tell me Ah will aways remember this day. Guess Ah'd better pay attention.

Jack and me, we always held on ta each other real tight just before we got in our pickups, couldn't hardly breathe. We would silence our ears , each pretending we didn't hear the other bawlin', just hangin' on. That last time was the only time I fell down against Jack, kept me from fallin'. We both said some things the other could hardly stand ta hear, hurt each other kinda bad. But by the time we wuz ready ta drive away things were ok again. Jack stayed squeezin' me real warm, makin sure I wuz ok.

This is probably one of the hardest scenes to watch.  It kills my heart.  Ennis loves Jack so much and wants to be with him.  I truly believe this.  He is just so scared of what could happen.  So extremely sad.  I can remember hugging my sister in that grip of desperation when our oldest sister was killed in a car wreck when I was 19 and my sister was 22.  My sister that died was only 25.  It is the hug of holding on for dear life.
I wish I knew how to quit you.

Momo,

i am very sorry to hear that. i have a sister as well and i thnak God for every day i see her growing up. hope she has a long joyous life.

i'd like to see more scenes during the 16 years Jack and Ennis see each other. you know, just more acts of endearments,..plays, togetehrness, smiles, gestures... small things that shows how they were and how those rounds can last FOR 16 years.

i couldn't get enough.

JPwagoneer, do you know why they make the 4 July scene?

Jack: Sorry Ennis...I try not to....Sleep on my side....you can push me if I....

Here are a couple of reruns of the recent more serious of 'Photo Captions' for you. I see what else I can come up with as well.
