Animals can do funny things sometimes...

This may be a little Off Topic for a Brokeback Mountain message board....

Well, maybe not. Jack and Ennis did love animals! Anyway, I thought some of you might enjoy these. They were taken in my father's backyard earlier this year.

How's it hanging? This squirrel is raiding my  father's bird feeder! It can be annoying sometimes, but it sure is cute!

Thanks! Sorry about the quality. These were in my old computer which crashed and I lost them. Fortunately I had printed them  out and I had the printouts scanned... thus the poor quality.

I have a few more, and I will try to post them tomorrow.

I had some of my dog Cody when I took him trick or treating last year. Unfortunately I lost most of my pictures  when my computer crashed last winter. I had printed out the pictures of Cody though. When I find them, I will scan them and post them here. I dressed Cody up as a pumpkin!

Until I find Cody's pictures here are a few more funny squirrel pictures...

(Sorry about the quality. One or two of these I scanned from a printout I made before the infamous computer crash of 2005!)

Heres a couple I put in another thread, but they are cute..My son looks after injured or orpaned wildlife and here are some baby joeys, that he cared for...

This is Bailey the puppy we got Dave when he was born, he had gotten into the mud and was being scolded.

I didn't even see those last two pictures you posted Vicky.

That picture of Bailey the Pup reminds me a little of my dog Cody when he was a puppy.  :)

I looked for a thread to post this news, and came up with this one, because it seemed appropriate......


News has just come on here in australia, Monday afternoon......that Steve Irwin, known over there I think as The Crocodile Man.......was stung in the heart by a sting ray barb this morning in northern australia....and has died...

He was a funny and lovable guy, what you saw on tv, was the real bloke, he was as australian as kangaroos.....only aged 44, with a wife and two very young children.....

Australia is reeling from the shock of his death, he was a good ambassador for australia, was an ardent animal lover and observer, and did a lot of work here for the wild and native animals....

He will be missed.......Rest in Peace, Steve Irwin......

I thought this thread disappeared ages ago.

Those pictures are really cute. Thanks for posting them. I always love it when the squirrels hang upside down as they rob the bird feeders.  :)

The very last one, with the doggie dreaming, then jumping up, still in sleep - my Mäxi did that once. Same situation; he was dreaming, his paws jerking around like running and suddenly he jumped up and ran out of the room like the devil was behind him. No wall in the way though, thankfully for him. ;D A couple of seconds later, he came back into the room and greeted us like he hadn't seen us in three weeks, lol. :laugh:
