I'm terrified of clowns! When I was a little boy, I was with my Mum in a big department store in the city. Halloween was unknown here in Oz back then, so it was probably at Christmas time, when the city department stores put-on kiddies-entertainment for the children. I found myself looking down an upward-moving escalator, and on the escalator was a clown. I can still see that scary looking clown traveling towards me, at speed, on that escalator - it looked like he was floating towards me. I ran screaming to my mother and hid behind her skirts. And I've been uncomfortable about clowns ever since!
