Thanks Truman, Rich, and Chuck!  :D

I got all my paperwork filed this past week. Tomorrow I just have to create and submit the pdf and I'm all done.

Love and hugs.

:D Here's the research study I have always wanted to do!!!   :D

What do people really respond to, sexually I mean?

Hook up a plethysmograph to men and women, gay and straight, and show them porn: male and female, human and ... uh ... bonobo chimp?!?!?

I have to admit I had never thought of showing bonobo chimp porn.   ???

You check both their physiological sexual reaction and their self-reported (type yes or no) reaction.

Findings: The men, both gay and straight, responded sexually to just what they said they were responding to. Gay guys to dudes, straight guys to chicks, none of them to chimps.

But the laydeez! They liked everything!! They tended to say they liked whatever was appropriate to their sexual orientation, but physiologically they were reacting to everything!

Except they didn't react much to the naked dude. Regardless of whether they self-identified as lesbian or straight, they reacted to the naked chick, but not the naked dude!!

Well shut my mouth!

Obama Makes Explicit His Objection to DOMA

"President Obama made clear Monday that he favors the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act, and intends to ask Congress to repeal the 13-year-old law that denies benefits to domestic partners of federal employees and allows states to reject same-sex marriages performed in other states. "

Of course, they had to say this in a brief *defending* DOMA in court. :-\

Some things I don't exactly understand. Would I want a Bush 43 White House to have the option *not* to enforce laws they didn't want to enforce?

Well, I wouldn't want them to, but I bet they just did what they wanted to. If they didn't like a law, they would not defend it.

I suspect that Obama has the prerogative *not* to defend the law and is defending it anyway. I HOPE I am wrong. Somebody please prove to me that I'm wrong!!!

Anyway it's a good turnaround at least in lip service from what they did a few months ago, when they compared gay people to child molesters.   >:(

"Obama issued a statement noting that, although his administration is again defending DOMA in court, "this brief makes clear...that my administration believes the act is discriminatory and should be repealed by Congress."

"While we work with Congress to repeal DOMA, my administration will continue to examine and implement measures that will help extend rights and benefits to LGBT couples under existing law," Obama said in the statement. "
