Wonder what Elian Gonzales is doing these days?

Funny you ask. El País, Spain's leading newspaper, ran a story about him about a year ago. He is apparently doing well with his father, going to school and happily living like a normal boy. They even had a picture and he looked healthy, well fed and happy.

Sort of interesting that his name is Elian and he was destined to be an alien.

I know you mean it as a joke but , a native spanish speaking person would never  associate the name Elían with being an alien, because the Spanish word for alien is extranjero. Not even close!
