I'm watching American Idol.

My Arkansas boy, Chris, got good reviews. He's as cute as a bug!

My Memphis girl, Lil, got mixed reviews, but I liked her a lot, of course! She looked beautiful!

One more Memphis girl to go--Alexis Grace.

It's Country/Western Night and Randy Travis is the mentor.

Adam's coming up---he's a hott guy. And he can sing! But he's a rocker, so I'm anxious to see his country song!

No other way to say it---Adam is so PRETTY!!!! He's gorgeous.

OMG---He sang Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" with a Middle Eastern arrangement. It was so odd. Vocally---very nice. But I'm just not used to hearing Johnny done like that.

Paula said it was like a Kashmir Led Zeppelin and Randy said it was like Nine Inch Nails does country. LOL. Kara was dazed and confused and Simon thought it was indulgent.

I'm sure he'll get through to next week tho. He's one of the fan favorites.

Scott's next. He is blind.

Scott was good. He sang "Wild Angels". He did something new with his hair. Tamed that wild shock of blonde curls. It looked better.

Alexis, the other Memphis girl, sang Dolly Parton's "Jolene". The judges weren't too keen on it, but I think she did great! She's as cute as a button too. She reminds people of a young Dolly--minus the big assets.

Danny is next. He's going to do something Carrie Underwood. I'm curious.

Anoop!!!! He was top notch tonight.

I cried, he was so good!! He sang one of my favorite songs -- "You Were Always on My Mind" -- Elvis and Willie both did it. And he sang it fabulously.

I'm so CONFLICTED!!! I usually have a favorite by now---or at least I've culled some. They are all so good and sweet and cute this year!

Megan Joy Corkrey is so quirky in a charming way. I love her. She has been in the hospital this week with the flu -- and she still did great. The judges thought she was better this week than last. She waited until after she'd sung to cough! 

Last is Matt. He'll probably play the piano. He's great too.

Tomorrow Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, and Randy Travis will perform.

Someone will get sent home and then the remaining 10 will be the ones who get to go on the American Idols tour during the summer. That's sad that the 11th one doesn't get to go.

All 11 did a great job tonite. It'll just be -- how many people in America are gonna vote for you? The Memphis girls have to share Memphis, darnit!!! Maybe everyone there will vote twice!

I haven't been watching AI this year Shasta, but now I'm beginning to think I should after reading your posts. So there are three people from your area? Is there anyone from Indiana, or close to Indiana this time around?

Hi, David! Did you get your RX today? I hope you are feeling well. 

There have been years that I didn't watch. I'm so glad that I'm able to watch this year---the kids are sweet and also good singers all around.

Probably the closest ones to you are Danny Gokey who is from Milwaukee, WI, and Matt Giraud who is from Kalamazoo, MI. The judges love both of them. They say that Matt is a mix of Michael Buble and Justin Timberlake.

Matt plays the piano, as does Scott, the blind young man. Kris plays the guitar usually.

Anoop is from Chapel Hill, NC.

Lil and Alexis are from Memphis. Kris is from Conway, AR. Michael is from TX, and

Allison and Adam are from Los Angeles and Scott is from Scottsdale, AZ. Megan Joy Corkrey is from Utah.

Those are the 11 who are left as of today. Tomorrow one of them will go home.

Maybe you can watch it tomorrow or next week. They won't perform individually tomorrow, but there will be snippets of their performances from tonite.
