Leslie,

I was so moved by the epilogue from "Steel", and "Veil" has been especially satisfying, bringing your boys up to date.

We're left to imagine the hunting trip and last meeting with KE, and further talk of the watch. (And to imagine talk of its succession: Junior? Jenny? eventually Evan?) The watch is a wonderful symbol here. Time, family, continuance, remembrance.

Thank you, Leslie, for giving Jack and Ennis a long and fulfilling life.

Your writing has been a lovely antidote to "Brokeback Fever".

Love,
Paul

Leslie !!!   :)

Just wanted to let you know that one of my regulars read my 'shout out' to you at the end of chapter three of "WWotY" and started reading  "ALBFS" today.   :)
She said 'thanks for the lovely recommendation.'    ;)
Just thought you should know.   :D

You may want to check the "Life at the Lazy L"  thread---as Jack has posted a couple updates and recounts parts of what you are imagining about.   He checks in occasionally and tells us what is going on, even though the story has ended.

Thanks, Ranchgal.  Jack gets around, don't he?  I guess the story goes on for him.  :)

Paul,

I just wanted to tell you how much I love your 'sigy line' with your 'dozy Jake.'   ;)

Thanks, C*.

I'll bet some people find it annoying, nodding and nodding like it does, but I think it's cute.  (I'm sure you know it's from "City Slickers".)

Hey, I've had my HAWT avatar for months now and certain cowboys insist that it stay.... ;)

I have always said, City Slickers was one of my favorite Jack movies!
