It's no secret that lots of folks find other folks wearing a particular uniform to be uncommonly attractive. Is this true for you? Do any of the above options fit the bill, or none of them, or indeed, one I failed to include? Let's hear from ya!

Tell you what--truth is--out of my own options, I have to select Sailor. I know that might be heresy in these parts, and people must know by now that cowboy Ennis is the movie hunk of my dreams, but there is some kind of inherently and deeply erotic aura to the figure of the sailor. Legendarily lusty (and salty!), long days and months on the wide open sea fuelling pent-up animal energy, not infrequently finding outlet in each other's bodies--such is the stuff of erotic reveries to cherish for a lifetime, and revived by the simple yet manly and elegant silhouette of a seaman.

I went with Sailor 'cause there's nothing like those dress whites the Navy wears.

However, if you'd had a really sharp suit or tuxedo as options, I'd have gone with one of those. 'Cause every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp-dressed man.

Wow--sailors in the lead so far; a bit surprising considering we're all here out of love for cowboys Ennis and Jack. Interestingly, in the original short story, Jack and Ennis discuss sailors themselves up on the mountain, when they share their thoughts on the recent (in 1963) tragedy concerning the Thresher.

Sailor - no question. My sailor ex-boyfriend looked mighty fine in his everyday blue uniform, but in his white official-parade uniform he looked

Hmm - then I'm not a girl

No tuxedos or suits for me, no sharp-dressing. And no uniform neither. There's nothing better than a man in jeans. Just jeans and shirt or t-shirt. So I have to vote for the cowboys in the poll (surprise, surprise

).

Edit: I just noticed that I could have voted "no uniform at all", too. But I always had a soft spot for cowboys, so I stick to my vote, even if I wouldn't call it a uniform.

Well my first love has always been firemen....I only developed this obession with Cowboys recently...and I love a Bad boy in a well fitted suit...the kind where you know the urbane, sophisticated picture he presents is all an illusion. My late husband was like that and he was too hot to handle

Well, I like to think of pirates as renegade sailors of a sort. And while on the subject of Caribbean pirates (or sailors, or what have you), let's not forget Orlando Bloom! He's enough to make me want to see any movie he's in.

I went with Policeman because the first image that popped into my head was the California Highway Patrol. YUM!

But Navy dress whites sure do look sharp (think David James Elliot in JAG).

And for my money the handsomest--though that doesn't necessarily make it the sexiest--uniform ever designed is the Marine Corps' Dress Blues. For some reason I always go all mushy inside at sight of a man in Dress Blues.

My first uniform fetish would be military. My earliest memory of having a "sexual feeling" was at a War movie when I was around 8.

And then there was CHiPs. Any one remember the episode where the ladies went to a male exotic dancer club and one of the strippers looked like Poncherello? Often when I would drive by an accident on the freeway, you'll find me rubber necking, but not to look at the accident. I'm usually checking out the cops.

My vote goes to cowboys though. Right now there just something about those hats, jeans, boots, and gloves that intrigues me.

I choose "cowboy". There's something about the cowboy figure that drives me nuts. Especially if they're handsome, manly and open minded. If they have nice physique, wearing nothing is sexy too.

I can't abide cigarette smoke (used to be able to, but all my years of being away from the clubs cleaned out my lungs too well, methinks), but I would certainly make the effort to do so for the sake of these handsome, rugged men of the West (Ennis in particular)!

Military. Love a man in uniform. And many times, they are in great shape.

My mom would have said 'sailor'. She lived near a naval base and dated primarily sailors when she was in her prime.

I think the Santa Clauses are kind of sexy too. BUT ONLY since I saw Jake do the Santa dance in "Jarheads".

Maybe it isn't the Santa Claus suit at all. Maybe I'm just thinking of Jake.

It depends. I like the ordinary looking cowboy, but those "cowboy outfits" you see are way over the top for me.
So I went with the UPS outfit (mostly because I got a very nice visual of Ennis wearing one)
