Short list includes:  Chad Kroeger (Nickleback), Darius Rucker, Josh Groban, Peter Cetera, Chris Daughtry (Daughtry)

That's a damn good short list you got there. All of them have solid voices.

I've been searching for a favorite video of a tattooed Scottish man singing "Auld Lang Syne" and I can't find it! Can you help?  ???

and I came here to post Dan Folgelberg's "Same Auld Lang Syne".

This song gets played during the holidays, increasing in the week between Christmas and New Year's Day.  The song, however, has nothing to do with the holidays, other than the opening lines:  "Met my old lover in the grocery store, the snow was falling, Christmas Eve."

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

106.7 - Lite FM has been playing non-stop Christmas music since Thanksgiving Day.  I started listening daily as of December 1st.

I've heard a number of faves so far:

Underneath The Tree - Kelly Clarkson
Oh Holy Night - Josh Groban
Santa Baby - Madonna
All I Want for Christmas is You - Vince Vance & The Valiants
Grown Up Christmas List - Kelly Clarkson

still waiting to hear:

Where Are You Christmas - Faith Hill

Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Finally heard "Where Are You Christmas" yesterday at work.  :)

Also read on DCF that apparently there are people who refer to "Baby, It's Cold Outside" as "the date rape song".

::)

To be honest, neither do I.  I've heard quite a few different versions of the song, and it always sounds innocent enough.

Now that someone said that, whenever I hear the song and I hear the line "Say, what's in this drink?"  I laugh

Here's the original from "Neptune's Daughter".  Decide for yourself.

With Esther Williams and Ricardo Montalban (and then Betty Garret and Red Skelton).

Me, neither--but I love the TV commercial for Barnes and Noble with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga singing a bit of it.  ;D  Whenever I see that commercial, I think, I hope some day she does an album of Old Standards, or songs from The Great American Songbook, or whatever you want to call it, because that woman really has an amazing voice.

I saw a part of that last night, actually, but my attention was divided, so I really wasn't looking for clues one way or the other.  Perhaps later today.
