When I say Holland....

Hi all!

I used to work for the Amsterdam Tourist board here in... well.... Amsterdam and got all these funny and somewhat strange comments from tourists about Holland, the stereotypes, the jokes...

Therefore, I would like to ask you...

I say it's only ONE part of what should be called the Netherlands!  ;)

I also say... flat country, below sea level (a bit dangerous  ;D), canals, tulips, free people (legal to smoke pot); also, disquieting (to me) acceptance and exhibition of prostitution, and friendly people (I have met a few Dutch).

Rudi Carrell!
He was a great showmaster and entertainer and certainly one of the most successful Dutch exports in Germany!
Sadly, he passed away last friday. It was in the news today.  :'(
