Yes I did see the living mummies. That was very sad. I was appalled when I read what they subjected themselves to in order to become a living mummy, and most never established the "Budda" level anyway. What a terrible way to die! :(

it is scary what people can be led to do, isn't it? I think we need to teach people to think for themselves, not just believe what they are told... :-\

Some of the Catholic Saints have subjected themselves to similar atrocities over the centuries. We Catholics have always felt we must make ourselves totally miserable in order to get to Heaven. Some in the past have taken it to the extreme.

That is so true Jess, I had never heard of living mummies before. I hope they did find what they were looking for.
