Ray, did you ever see the Cowboy Etiquette thread from TOB? Some of those might make good cartoons (but what do I know?). That thread miraculously hasn't been deleted, so here's a link:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0388795/board/flat/34578507?d=34597050#34597050

Well, even if they don't make good toons, they're sure good for a laugh!

Edit to add: it was started by our very own Mr. Gallagher and hilariously contributed to by several people here

That Cowboy Etiquette thread is one of my two favorites, Nancy.  The other is one called something like, "Rebus Delight."  In it, we recreated scenes and moments from BBM in emoticons.  It is one of the most tender and hilarious and creative things ever.  I wonder if anyone has a link to it, or saved it if it's gone from IMDb?

I have the "Rebus Delight" thread saved, but the animation is gone.  When I get back in town I'll talk with Andrew (littledarlin) and see if he can help me restore it.  I think we've got every major scene acted out in emoticons, but without the animation a lot gets lost...

Yeah I've got the Rebus thread saved as a Word document. It looks exactly the same, except the emoticharacters don't move... :'(

Wish I only could. In the meantime, thanks for your most enjoyably creative offering. I too laughed heartily as I recognized many of your contributors. Keep the spirits of the troops up.

I've been sitting here for the past 10 minutes trying to think of one, but only 'jokes' with sexual innuendos come to mind! So... Maybe not. Or shall I just fire away??  >:D

Sorry Ray, I hadn't seen your reply earlier. Still technologically challenged, although trying to get a cure!
Heck yes, I'm French, AND the Spring's coming on, SO...
As we've all seen the film, here goes one:

Err... what I posted was not exactly about food and drink, got mixed up with cowboy etiquette... But there's the word FLIP, as in when you're making pancakes, does that count??

So another one:

Give your lover man a suitable amount of whiskey to drink, so he won't be able to go back to them darn sheep. It won't be long before he joins you inside the tent either.

Thanks for reviving this Courtney! :)

Somehow I missed this back in them early days.  It's very nostalgic to see some of the references to old-timers here and to real old in-jokes.

Threads like this are really just so amazing in highlighting how long the Brokie community has been going now... and how many "generations" of Brokies we've now seen come through BetterMost.
