I have been reading this thread and I have not posted anything in it because, well, I never really knew what to say.

I have always believed, and had very great faith in the angels... especially St. Michael.

I have been saying a prayer for Chris every night. I just thought I would share it with you because, I think it is a very powerful prayer. It is a good prayer to say whenever you (or someone you know) is in trouble (either physically, emotionally or spiritually).

Saint Michael The Archangel defend us in battle
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him we humbly pray.
And do thou, oh Prince of the Heavenly Hosts,
by the power of God, thrust into Hell Satan
and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

I have all but abandoned my Catholic Faith, but this is one of several prayers I have hung on to. I think it is a powerful one, and I have yet to see it fail me or anyone I know or love.

It amazes me how fast that meningitis moved. It left him both partially blind and deaf. Im relieved of course but shocked. I personally want to thank everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts. I honestly believe that it was with all your help that hes making it. He doesnt deserve to die. He's been through so much. someone tried to kill him with a baseball bat when he was 16 all because he loved our mother and because of this he is forever punished. I havent had much faith in god in the past few days. It amazes me that criminals go free but he is going through this. I dont understand it at all but I have a little more faith now because of all of you.  I know that if Chris were able to he would thank you all himself for your help. My brother has made some mistakes but he's a good man. Havent we all made mistakes?

You're right, he does not deserve this.  Despite the fact that we've never met face to face, Chris is one of the best men I know.  He is an amazing friend and kind and caring and one of the first people I think of to go to when in trouble. He'll make it through, I know it!
