I was just reading a message U posted on July 5, back when we all had not a care iin the world, it seemed...by September 5 you'll be back in action, I know it!!

It's SO great to hear that you're making steady progress down the road to recovery Chris. People beat the odds all the time. When my 80 year old Grandad had half his stomach removed donkey's years ago the docs gave him a 5% chance of making it through the surgery, yet there he was 4 days later sat up in bed and flirting with all the nurses, the old dog. Just keep going, one day at a time - that's all you need to do. Small steps, small steps.

We are down to less than 50 candles burning, many will go out sometime today...some of you will think because Chris is on the mend that he doesn't need our prayers anymore.  The first six weeks after major surgery are a critical time for any patient, lots of things can still go wrong even with a smooth post operative course and Chris's has been anything but smooth.  He still needs us to send him love, positive thoughts and energy, tie your good wishes to a candle on the candle site and llight one for our missing comrade.   

I urge everyone of Chris's friends and his fellow moderators to show their good wishes, their kind hearts and caring natures and light him another candle today and every day until he is well enough to rejoin us here.

I know I will continue to leave a light burning for Chris to find his way back to us

Hi Chris! I've been gone today but I've thought about you. I'm wearing a certain silver bracelet all the time now decorated with native north american art that is carved into the silver. There's a beautiful eagle-like bird and a sun, and I wear it to remind me of your continual healing that I know is happening big time. It even came into the ocean with me today. Just wanted to let you know, even when I'm not here, you're in my thoughts and I'm pulling for you to get better.

Can't sleep. This would be the time when I could sure use a chat with U. U would probably be making scrambled eggs, watching a movie on TV, feeding CJ and leading in the chat room...all at once! We miss U buddy. Feel better soon!
