I am starting to think about amulets or talismen that I would like to take to Scotland with me and have imbued with the magic of my ancestors. Does anyone have an amulet or talisman that they carry around? An amulet is an object that naturally possesses power because of its characteristics or the location or situation in which it was found. A talisman is an object which is made, altered or consecrated to have magical powers. Maybe some people have Brokie talismen or amulets?
By magic, I do not mean hocus pocus, particularly, or Harry Potter type magic. In my view, something is magic if it reminds you of a magical time you had once or gives you more confidence or a warm feeling. An object is particularly magical if it was given to you by a loved one or friend, especially if it was treasured by them before it was given.
