Speaking of coughs, I like the one where Ennis is eating apple pie in the bus station and Cassie comes in.  You see her stop in her tracks and turn around when he clears his throat.  She knew that man's cough! 

Thanks for pointing this out, Meryl. I never noticed it before. It's quite low, so it slipped my attention. But it didn't slip Cassie's attention, like you said.


I love Ennis caressing Jack's arm in the motel scene.

Hi Penthesilea, the truth is, i can never remember that lines!!! i am always in bad mood during the Lightning Flat scene. words and voices are blurring. 

well...i do remember short ones like " Ennis Del Mar he used to say..."

i love Ennis bringing a pair of horses during the rounds. so romantic!!

I LOVE that Ennis has an excellent work ethic... well at least until Jack distracts him from his work with the sheep, and whenever he has ta leave his job cause Jack's comin ta town  ... Come ta think of it, a good work ethic sometimes stinks!

I LOVE ENNIS when he says, "Whut?" after he started opening up to Jack, talking about himself and finds Jack practically grinning at him . . . and then keeps talking!

I LOVE ENNIS in his painful exhale after he tells Jack "ain't no reins on this one," and is immediately comforted by Jack's touch.

I LOVE ENNIS when he tearfully whispers, "I love you," into the shirts he just discovered!

I LOVE ENNIS when he "fixes" the crooked post card on the closet door!

I LOVE ENNIS because he loved Jack with all his heart and all his being!
