The only Brokeback related actor I saw at the Golden Globes last night was Kate Mara.  ???

It was interesting how many actors thanked their moms.

I tried to come up with a witty six-degrees-style connection between somebody who was at the GGs and somebody who was in BBM, but I failed. I'm terrible at six-degrees games.

The Golden Globes are on! They have always been good for Brokeback Mountain and its cast and crew.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

I watched and ... meh. My favorite movie this year, "The Big Short," didn't even get nominated for best picture. And "Mozart in the Jungle" won a few awards over "Transparent" -- I haven't seen the former, but the critics seem baffled by that one, as well.

I like that the presenters are more lighthearted and funnier (and probably drunker) at the GGs and less stiff and nervous than at the Oscars.
