and just wondering if the reason "Crash" took the Oscar from BBM was the vote being stacked by Scibots. WE know about high-profile Hubborgs in Hollywood, but how many are they, really?

Annie Proulx alluded to this in her scathing and bitter review of the Oscars that year. She said you could look down the street from the theater and see a large neon sign that said "SCIENTOLOGY."

Yeah, was thinking of that quote from her when I saw this story yesterday ...

Funny that we (or at least I) didn't know specifically what she was talking about at the time. Stories often go so much deeper than we know.
