A New Annie Proulx Interview

I found this elsewhere but I thought members here might like to take a look at it. By the way, her Canadian geography seems somewhat shaky. She seems to believe the movie was shot in Saskatchewan whereas we all know it was shot in Alberta:

Yeah that was a pretty bad blooper there... there aren't that many provinces that you would get them mixed up so easily...

That is pretty amazing that she forgot it was filmed in Alberta, but I guess it can be forgiven.  Even though she did write the story, I wouldn't describe Annie as a Brokie.  ;D

It was nice to hear her describe in her own words how she got the idea for the story in the Mint Bar in Sheridan.
