"They Wanna Have Fun" (but not fall in love with it)
« on: March 06, 2012, 12:28:25 pm »
Okay, so this just occurred to me: Ennis tells Cassie "I guess I wasn't much fun anyway", not knowing what else to say.

Cassie of course replies with her famous line: "Ennis, girls don't fall in love with fun!"

Where did Ennis get this line? Could he have been listening to Cyndi Lauper on the way to the diner?

Released 6 September 1983, Lauper's debut album She's so Unusual featured her first number one hit Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

Somehow, I don't see Ennis listening to Cyndi Lauper.

I see him looking at her pic out of the corner of his eye, wanting to know why she had her hair cut that way.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!
