Wow, that's dangerous. Can people with your job get on the priority list for vaccination?

Now this was fast. New rules since yesterday. In some federal countries at least. My coworker booked her vaccination appointment last night.

I live in one federal country, but work in a different one. In my home federal country, I am not eligible for vaccination. But in the federal country I work at, I can get vaccinated. No free appointments however, the website keeps tossing me out.
I'll try again after midnight resp. after 5am tomorrow morning. Those are the times when new dates for appointments go online. Wish me luck :)

Good luck in getting an appointment, Chrissi!

I think people who can't work from home and are exposed at their work should be among the first to get the vaxx.

I'm lucky in that my workplace is responsible for vaccinating the patients and staff at the nursing homes in our area.
If there were any leftover doses, our own staff was allowed to have them. So I got my second shot yesterday. I feel very lucky.

I asked my union president if journalists can get permission for early vaccines as sort of front-line-ish workers. She said she hadn't heard of any but also wondered how would the public react to journalists "jumping the line" for the vaccine.

Good point. The public has a bad enough view of journalists already. Never mind that we have to wade into germ-filled places where they flout basic safety rules.

Well, here's some good news. My dad now as an appointment to get a vaccine at his doctor's office at 9:20 a.m. Saturday.

The doctor's office phoned him. Fortunately, the last time I was with him I figured out how to add his doctor's phone number to the "Top Ten" numbers in the contact list in his cell phone, so he knew immediately it was the doctor's office calling.

Yes, it is. It's a relief, too.
