But now you need to explain some of it to the Swedes and Non-Swedes, though--like what 'neeps' are (me, I love 'em!) and why the surname 'Menzies' is pronounced 'Mingus' or why--

Me, I'm hungry for some haggis* with neeps* and tatties*--

Haggis - sort of a bigger, slightly vanilla version of boudin noir--sort  of. I'm not explaining this very clearly-- :-\
Neeps - turnips.
Tatties - potatoes.

--with a wee dram of Lugavulin!

Weel, if fine chocolates and wines can have notes of leather or dirt, why not iodine?

You bet, friend!! Here's a picture of Kelda, Callum, and me the very first time I enjoyed a lovely tower of haggis, neeps, and taties at Scott's restaurant near Glasgow, Scotland!! It was divine!!

If there's dirt and leather in "fine chocolates," I'll stick with Hershey's.  ;)

That's all good and well, now you just need to explain what boudin noir is.....   ::)

As far as I know, haggis is the stomach of a sheep, filled with meat and stuff.  But, vanilla in that??   :P

What I should have done on New Years Eve: I (and hubby) should have remembered that it was our 25th anniversary! :o
It occurred to me only today. ::)

LOL Chrissi!!

Probably a good thing that both of you forgot.  ::)

If one of you remembered and the other one not, the result might have been....um.....less pleasant...   ::) ;D
