It would be a btter world if we could all respond with love to people like her or anyone who practices intolerance. It is a learning experence and we have to unlearn our knee jerk reactions first.

Right on, P.T.,

Thanks for the pat on the back.  I'd rather do ANYTHING else than offend people.

Lean on me, let our hearts beat in time,
Feel strength from the hands that have held you so long.
Who cares where we go on this rugged old road
In a world that may say that we're wrong.

Have you heard Br. Patrick, this week about two USA born me who became muslims?

They wanted to purchased a bomb! But the FBI (?) sold them a fake one!

So if they murder for religion, they could do so easily disrespect gays too?

Au revoir,
hugs!

That is kind of a broad jump, logically speaking but true nonetheless.

I don't know.  I have a bad experience coming from a broken home.  I guess I would put this on a timeline.  Times change.  People change.   What is illegal today may be legal next year, or the next..

It IS a denial of people's rights to file joint income taxes and receive the benefits from that for sure.   But I wouldn't call that 'gay-bashing' - rather a generation that has had to deal with more social change than has ever happened in the past.   My mom worked in a Truck Stop as a cook.  When African Americans would come in, they were to ask, "What would like to go?  And seating was denied them.   Things were much worse in Southern States, I'm talking about Northern Illinois.   Something like that would be unthinkable and yet that was in the early 1960s.

Things you ask are good.  Slow down and enjoy the moment.   And be thankful for how far we have come.
