Well, $250,000,000 would be difficult to resist.
I enjoy watching soccer (football) if it's on television. I watched the World Cup this year, but most of the games weren't aired in this country. We have some Spanish language channels here in Indianapolis, and sometimes I could watch the World Cup on one of those channels.
But Americans are creatures of habit (especially in the middle part of this country) and I don't know if David Beckham will succeed in raising the interest of soccer in the US. Baseball, American Football and Basketball have been popular here for generations. But if anyone has a chance of elevating the American people's interest in the sport, David Beckham would be the one.
I hope he can do it. Time willl tell I suppose.
