Most people think that BBM is all profit because it only cost $14 million to make. But just think about how much they spent on promoting it? I mean, they ran tons of TV commercials on everynetwork all night long before the Oscars. Plus all the TV spots for the DVD. Sure, Focus features must have made plenty of money off of it, but even if they made very little, the world now knows who Focus Features is. Plus it launched Jake, Heath, Anne and Michelles careers into the stratosphere! Everybody wins. Well, everybody except Randy Quaid. He shoulda quietly inquired to Focus if there was going to be any bonuses instead of launching a lawsuit.
