My "Great White North"
« on: March 06, 2007, 08:07:11 am »
Last summer, I took a trip down memory lane ... visited the Star Lake area for the first time in over a decade and brought back a few pics.

Now, it's time ta show the wilderness of the Great White North, in the summertime (Actually these pics are of an area lower than the 49th parallel)

last pic was a view north a the "Big Star Lake" where the creek seperates the Big and the Small. I think this next one's a southern  creek view of the Small Star Lake's eastern shore

Ro...those are very nice! (pfft...not a good photographer!)

love the colors in the first but the second is my favorite...feels very "you are there"; I  like the way the trees look like they are in the process of falling over  into the lake!

Beautiful photos, I love going back to those old places I knew as a child, if they still remain. They look so small.

Look forward to those summer evenings, too.

Hunh?!? Fish - you plannin on sendin yer brood (Don, D & Jeff) on a fishin trip up north?

(Don't tell Garry - he's likely ta get mighty jealous!!)

Naw I'm a city boy - don't do none a them outdorsy things. I'm way too tasty ta the mosquitos

My sister (Claudette), however, she could spend the whole summer in the bush with her family. The occasion fer those pics was an invite ta supper at the 'Rod 'n Gun' where her family had settled fer part a the summer last year. Will likely be postin some (long range) pics a the place later.
