If you go to the threads where we are discussing the various scripts, you will see that it  was difficult enough t5 make BBM without having all sorts of idiocies added onto the script by James Schamus. They had to shoot the hippy scene--knowing it would not be used--because he wrote it. JUST TO PLACATE HIM.

My friend, I feel we were lucky. And yes I know you want a remake. But that is why I do not. If it was done again, the studio would add all sorts of awful bullshit.

{How does one say Bullshit --a la francaise--anyway???}

I hope you come to the BBQ artiste. I would love to meet you!

Thanks brokebackjack!

You say much, including that you do not want the next: studio (which maybe) would add all sorts of awful bullshit in a remake!
...

To your comment, I say that much bullshits could very well happen. May I add that I do not want any bullshit.
I feel that there is enough bullshit already in this first one, may I say! Same and/or another studio, could think of NOT adding any bullshit, in an remake!!

..... May I ask you what hippy scene James Schamus had written? Please describe that... detailed it.
Or do you mean instead of the word hippy, you wanted to add: HAPPY ??

If I was the writer, script writer, and/or the studio: because the movie is so violent, so dramatic, so sad, I would even add another HAPPY scene in a remake!!

Awaiting your news from you and all,

hugs!!

Absolutely not.
What could be accomplished.
Showing Ennis living as an old man who dies broken and lonely?
I couldn't bear to see him with anyone but Jack and he wouldn't want to be with anyone but Jack.
That was kinda the whole point of the movie. There was one man for Ennis, one shot at happiness and he let it slip away because of his own fears.
No, nothing would ever compare.

Thanks loneleeb3 !

You bring up a good subject: Ennis would be older and older in a remake, another movie and/or a serie.

May I say: maybe that would be so!

And gay men do grow old too?? !! Hope, we do!! Otherwise, this movie would just remain like a porno, in way? Or just a romance? Or just a tragedy?  Too much, it is of tragedies, I say!!

The movie may show the love story, but, may I say that that is not all of it!! And, a remake, another film, and/or a serie, would be beneficial in many ways!! Why should we limit ourselves to only one so-called gay movie when straights have inummerable ones??

Much could be accomplished, I say! Think of some?

Hugs!

Brokeback is a bit like a Renaissance painting: priceless and not to be tampered with. If you tried, you couldn't do it again.

It's like Mona Lisa: she's been painted.

Thanks brkenbackjack !

I agree with you that some old paintings are timeless.

Some new ones becomes so too, like Annie's story!

I repeat new ones can be made too... as I create duos,
even bigger as a serie (up to seven at times), doing my paintings on canvas.
Most times duos of mine are materspieces! I feel therefore, that that BM
movie, one similar to it can be made like a duo!

Not only can, but even must be created, for many, many reasons!

I like always your comments, and that of all too,

hugs!!

Thanks brokebackjack !

You are asking me:
What is your style?
...................................................

May I ask you to guess that?

To detail that, like details of landscapes, Still Lifes, abstracts, realism, etc; as I think you know about art??
Your guessing will be interesting to me, since you are a cameraman!! You have an eye?? !!

Whic colours do you think I create?? My palette??

Hugs!!

If you were to make another, how would you do it??
