I simply don't get the why and the how of this business. Why doesn't /didn't  Imdb do something?

It's pretty sick.

I agree.  I think IMDb is simply too huge a site for anyone to moderate successfully.  They have to depend on automated solutions, and the trolls have figured that out and made it their playground.  Thank goodness for BetterMost, is all I can say.  :P
