March '07 Radio Statistics
« on: April 02, 2007, 04:26:02 pm »
Radio Statistics for March ’07:

Total March listening hours = 2222.07 hours - Up 1% from February!  :D

Top Ten Highest Rated Tracks in the last 30 days:

1. Phillip Dampier - Homage to Brokeback Mountain
2. Simon & Garfunkel - Bookends Theme
3. Moe Bandy - The Strawberry Roan
4. Annie Lennox - Something So Right
5. Neil Young - Old Man
6. Mark Weigle - The Two Cowboy Waltz
7. Global Stage Orchestra - The Wings
8. Eagles - Desperado
9. Dolly, Emmylou, & Linda - Those Memories Of You
10. Tracy Byrd - Keeper of the Stars

And landing just outside the top 10:
11:  The Who - Behind Blue Eyes

Top Ten Lowest Rated Tracks in the last 30 days:

1. Green Day - Blvd of Broken Dreams
2. David Arkenstone - Death In The Snow
3. Jeff Buckley - The 1-9 (Heights)
4. Heather Nova - All I Need
5. Uncle Kracker - Follow Me
6. Collin Raye - Cold, Cold Heart
7. Willie Nelson - To Each His Own
8. Patsy Cline - Hiding Out
9. Howie Day - Collide
10. Marty Robbins - Unchained Melody

The lowest rated tracks will be the ones rotated out when we add new music to the playlist.

Agree or disagree that these should be the highest or lowest rated tracks?  Tune in and vote while listening for your favorite (or least favorite) songs on BBM Radio.  Keep voting even if you have already voted 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' already!  The reports we get are on a thirty-day rotation, so if you voted for a track thirty days ago, your vote is no longer valid.  Also, tastes change.  A track you may not have liked a few weeks ago, may have grown on you by now.  It could work the other way too.  Maybe you're sick of hearing a particular track...  Regardless, even if you've already voted for a track, if you can, vote again as often as you can when listening to the station!

Thank you for listening to the station!   :D

1. Green Day - Blvd of Broken Dreams

(Today is Phil is Snarky Day... just doing some Don Rickles with some of this....)

When I think of the rural mountain west, I think of Green Day.   ::)

4. Heather Nova - All I Need

This track has been around a long time, hasn't it?  We should probably kill it off.

5. Uncle Kracker - Follow Me

We have a song from an artist named Uncle Kracker on BBM Radio?  :)

9. Howie Day - Collide

Another oldie that can probably be dropped.  I am going to have some new songs from the country library I am reviewing right now which perhaps can replace some of these.

10. Marty Robbins - Unchained Melody

Nothing against Marty, but I hate Unchained Melody.  It just irks me and I am not sure why.

Nice to see despite all of the challenges, we managed a 1% uptick.  I wonder if that, in part, comes from the special events programming we've done more of recently.

Does it make any difference if we are logged in when we vote or not? Which is better for your stats?

I think you need to be logged in to start up the player.  So if the player's going, I think you've already logged in.

Thank you for voting!  :D

I'm going to do a big playlist overhaul next week!

Actually that's not true.  You don't have to be logged into Live 365 to listen, but you do need to be in order to rate the station or vote on tracks.

I learn something new everyday...  :D

So, everytime I've not been logged in, and tried to lauch the player (by clicking the yellow play button), it prompts me to log in or register.  How would one get around that in order to get the player working without logging in?

I don't know.  This opens a myriad of questions.  See my edited post above!
