John, my day has been rather stressful, but seeing you back here made it 100% better. I'm so glad you're feeling well enough to come back to us! Keep working on getting well soon and know that you have a lot of people from all over the world who care about you very much!

Thanks, Jenny--

I guess I need a laugh!

Also--I cannot WAIT till I can see my little silver stetsons and keychain lasso! I was hoping I could see you for coffee in midtown in a week or so, sometime, if you have the time--

In the meantime, Jude said it right when I got my stroke:

* Friend, that's more words than you've spoke in the past two weeks.
* I was just sendin' up a prayer of thanks

And mandatory:
* This is a goddamn bitch of an unsatisfactory situation!

Beautiful!

Thank you everybody!

xxxxxxxxxx
John

Dear John,
The hell with spellin'. we just like you here sittin' across the table from us.  Seein' you back has brightened my day, too!  Hey, you're the one who's supposed to be concentratin' on healing, and here you are making our hearts feel better.

Okay John, you had a stroke, but of what?!  Glad to see your doing okay and you have kept that sense of humour.  Fight the good fight mate.  I wish I had an excuse for my shockin' spelling!

Glad I could cheer you up a little! Remember there's always this wild bunch of Brokies on BetterMost who think of you and sends you thoughts each day to make you get stronger! Hang in there!

Hey John, welcome back among the living!! It's so great to hear from you!  :D

Guess there's a long way for you to go with that therapy, but step by step you'll make it. I, too, hope and pray for your speedy recovery.
Yeah, we really would have loved to meet you at the Brokie Brunch on Saturday! But, just as Meryl said: this can be repeated. I, of course, won't make it to New York again any time soon, but I'm sure there'll be a bunch of US-Brokies to attend. Main thing is you get well again and don't loose your humour. You'll need it to carry you through all this!

Bye bye

ANKE

P.S. My audio-project from the NY-Brokiegathering will probably be online soon. I sent it as an mp3-file to Phillip yesterday. You are in it, too, of course. And the good thing is: one doesn't have to read it!

 :)

So glad to hear from you!  We missed you at the brunch, but the next one's on you, um, for you!  Take care & be well.

I hope you get patched up soon and are as good as new. I still dream about playing Ossana to your McMurtry. Hope you have a good supply of movies there to watch with BBM on top! [heart] Front-Ranger
