Here's one of those Brokie coincidences:  I'm in Provincetown for the weekend, and I read Clarissa's post above.  Pete's in town!  Apparently no way to reach him.  (He's using the library computer.)

Joey and I go to dinner at the Mews, our favorite place, and, who gets seated a few tables over?

Pete and David!

On his birthday!

Their first time in Provincetown!

It's a Brokie small world!

Thanks for the heads up, Clarissa!

Hey there, Pete!  I hope you have a great birthday!  It's terrific that you're travelling.  That's such a cool coincidence that you'd run into Paul in P-town!  A small Brokie world, indeed!

You're a shining star here at BetterMost - I support Elle's Pete Tannen Day proclamation 100%.

I love how you've devoted so much time to Brokie outreach in San Francisco.  I was reading earlier today about your talk at the UU Church and at Toastmasters.  I'm proud to know you, friend, and I'm looking forward to seeing you again real soon!

Hugs,
Lynne

Heya, bud Pete!

I was hoping to be one of the early birds on this thread, but things didn't quite work out that way. But I should still be on time for you to see this when reading through the thread upon your return home (and what a fantastic snippet of synchronicity that was in happening upon Paul in Provincetown!).

At any rate, I hope your birthday anniversary was great, and I'm looking forward to catching up with you in Estes Park in May, and in meeting your David for the first time! Likewise, you'll have the chance to meet my mother, just as you have already met my sister Cathy.

Take care, friend. See ya in May!

 :)
Scott

Oh, Paul, that's great...

And Pete... I am so sorry we didn't have the chance to connect on your trip this time. I know we emailed but life forces seemed to keep us apart. I was thinking of you, though!

Hugs,

Leslie

No, I didn't fall off the edge of the earth!   :o  . . . I've just been travelin a bit.

Many, many apologies for the delayed response; and many, many thanks for all the birthday wishes!   :)

David and I were on the East Coast for 5 weeks and then when we got home I had to go through all that mail and E-mail and do my taxes (non-BBM stuff keeps on gittin in the way - never enough time . . . never enough).  I've finally "Git on home and am continuing to celebrate my birthday, by enjoying this wonderful thread!!

. . . and rest up for the BBQ?  I guess I'll have some rest before we leave again May 16 for our extended BBQ trip, via Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Denver.

It is wonderful to get all these great posts and photos!!   ;D

Having Paul come over to our table in Provincetown and say howdy was one of the highlights of our trip!  And then to top it off, our waitress told us that Paul was treating David and I to dessert!  It was the first time in my life that someone at another restaurant table did this, so it was extra special - Thank you Paul!   ;D

Clarissa, I just loved your Proclamation!!  Julie, thanks for posting that San Francisco Coit Tower mural photo I took.

Scott, that's great that you will be joining us in Estes Park!

Thanks you all again for the wonderful birthday wishes, thoughts, photos, etc.

I'll be posting about my visits with FIVE Brokies while I was back East.

Pete

Is there anything interesting up there in heaven?
