Well, since this is in the Anything Goes section of the BetterMost Forums, I should have a right to voice my personal opinions, right?
Oh, in regard to the epithet, "Christian," it is only used 3 times in the Bible and none of Jesus' followers ever used the word to refer to themselves. Because Paul and Barnabus preached about "The Christ," the non-believers in Antioch, Syria who spoke Greek made up the name to mock them. In the 1st Century AD, the Disciples of Jesus, there were thousands of them, called themselves and each other "Believer." And they called their doctrine or church, "The Way."
In an Epistle of Peter, the author mentions that if a person is made fun of because he believes in Christ Jesus and is called "Christian," and his is living right for the LORD, to count it an honor to be called by that name. But, what he wrote was not a command or order, in words to this effect, "From now on, all Believers will be called Christian."
What we historically know as "Christian Orthodoxy" (official theologian name), we now call "Orthodox Christianity." The organized religion of Christianity began in 325 AD and the Emperor Constantine presided over the first of the 7 Councils that year. Until that happened, the Believers were definitely adovcates of separation of church and state.
