This day marks the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.

Here are some of his quotes, and images, to remember him.

Faith is taking the first step, even when you don't see the whole staircase.

Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

Let no man pull you low enough to hate him.

Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars... Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.

We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Happy Saturday, BetterMost!!!!

How is everyone today?

I slept in, and hit the gym.  Got home to see fresh dirt in the driveway.  The oil tank had been removed from under our front lawn a few weeks ago, and it was filled in some awful dirt and stones.  We had fresh dirt delievered and we are loading it into the hole to fill up the remaining part, and we'll replant grass soon.

You all will not regret having that tank removed. Increasingly they have become problematic in passing years.

For a time the thing to do was to have it filled with sand so it would not creat a sink hole as it rusted away. Then certain insurance companies would not insure houses that had them, so out they come!  ;D

Hey, Chuck!

Sounds like a busy day for whoever in your family is involved in this.

Hey, you look great in that outfit, Chuck. So, why are you single, then?  ;)
