Bless her heart!  :o

Yes, Here she was the bomb!
She was the 80's to me! Highschool, College all have memories tied to her music!

Yes, Rich, she will always be  the 80s for me too.

Does anyone remember the woman who played the older "All the way Mae" in "A League of Their Own"?  Her name is Eunice Anderson, but I couldn't find a picture.   I wonder how Madonna felt about the casting of what she would look like as an old woman.

I remember when Madonna's big crossover came with the "Lucky Star" video, and that's when "her look" became famous......the wind blown hair, big ass bow in it, tons of bracelets, see through shirts....Closest I could find was the cover to her first cd, "Madonna".  In a recent interview, Madonna was asked about her past look, and her reply (with a laugh) was "What was I thinking?  And who let me have my hair that way?"

Here's a little piece of "Lucky Star" trivia.  After her first crossover single "Holiday" became a hit, her record company released "Borderline" to radio here and in Europe.  It became a hit here, but tanked in Europe.  Wanting a second hit, the video for "Lucky Star" was rushed out to Euro tv shows, while America got the video for "Borderline".

Meanwhile, Madonna was completeing her follow up CD, Like a Virgin.

Just as Sire Records was to release the CD, MTV got their hands on the "Lucky Star" video, and began to play it.  It got such a huge response, that Sire called Madonna into a meeting to tell her that the "Virgin" CD release was being pushed back, to focus on the surprise success of "Lucky Star".  She was pissed off big time.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Happy hump day Chuck and friends!

Madonna tix.  WOW  :o   You are a lucky man.  Madonna was the 80's  I love her.  She defined a look and sound like no other.  I loved her look in Desperatley Seeking Susan.  So cool

Into the Groove has always been my favorite Madge song.
I also love her version of "Love don't live hear anymore" It's heartbreaking.
