In-laws are coming tomorrow.

It's carnival in Germany. We'll go on a parade on Sunday. They look like this (pix are googled, not mine):

Often, politicians and political parties are made fun of:

Former chancellor Schöder (yes, the heart is added by me due to picture policies).

Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!

Well, it's been a week since my buds have been in NYC with me, so, in honor of missing friends, I'm going to try to make my post today in New Zealandese.

Matthew, check it out, and lemme know if I did it right.

Bugger!  I'm knackered!

I had friends visiting from out of town (Florida) last night, and they decided they wanted to do dinner at a Japanese bbq joint that was in the wop wops!

It was a bit pricy, and I felt badly because I know two of the guests that night were unwaged, and didn't have a lot of spare cash in their bum bags.

then we went to a show, and I didn't get home to bed until 4am!  Damn!  On top of that, I was going out with my family for brekkie, so I had to be up at 8am!

Bloody hell!

I dropped my car off at the mechanic for an oil change, and then went out for breakfast.  When I got home, I had a call from the mechanic for the final tally on me car.

$935.27!

Blimey!  Bloody hell!

It's enough to get me knickers twisted!  :o  Thankfuly, I've had some funds saved away for just such an occassion, but I didn't expect to be spending the big bickies!  The car ended up needing new brakes, and rear shocks, and needed the coolant flushed out.

And now, here I sit in the basement, having a fizzy, and thinking of a kiwi hug.

lmao!

Did I do that ok?  ;)

So hang on a minute, you mean we were driving around on the motorway with out brakes?

No, that's not the case.  The day you and Rich arrived, the brake light started to appear on my dash, but only when I made left hand turns.  I knew it meant the brakes would need to be replaced soon, but they were still functioning, so I made an appointment last week for today.

Wow Chucky.....if you keep talkin like that, you will get into NZ and Australia without the need of a bloody passport.

Looks like Matt has done a great job of "downunder-izing " you.

Also sounds like he did a great job of handing out a few hugs too.

Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect.

It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfection
