Been there, done that. I can testify you're right about the smell .

The fireworks pics work so well with you current sigline: The sparkle makes all the difference!
I remember the exact corner where the horses fountain is . And plenty of the other locations of course. It's so cool to share the same sights, even if a year, resp. four years apart (been there twice so far).

30 St Mary Axe, infamously known as 'the Gherkin' due to its 3D oval shape, is one of the first landmarks to become visible when you're travelling into London from many different places.

This is the Roman Terminal  (Roma Termini) where Catia picked me up from the train ride after landing at the airport.  Many trains and busses all over the place.
