Thanks, Debs!  She was my fave teacher ever, and I was her fave student ever.  I won a couple shorthand and typing national competitions back in high school, and she taught me everything I knew, and accompanied me every step of the way all over the country.  She enriched my life and gave me so much confidence.  I just want to let her know how deeply she affected me and put me on the right path.  Sometimes it takes someone outside of your own family to do that.

And what are YOUR plans for the weekend?

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Hope that everyone is doing well!

Mandy, your visit sounds wonderful!  I hope that you both have a great time seeing each other again!

Today is generally "casual Friday", but a client surprised me last night with an email saying they would be stopping by in person to deliver documents to me, so I have to be "professional and presentable" today, so no pull over relaxed look today.  Dress slacks and a button down are on.

Today's travel destination:

The Bebrides, Scotland.

The 500-island archipelago of the Hebrides, off the western coast of Scotland, is still relatively untrammeled by tourism, a place of remote  waterfront towns, deserted beaches, lonely bluffs, and mysterious ancient monuments whose stories are largely lost to history.

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Those are the standing stones of Callanish, on the Isle of Lewis, which I visited in midsummer last year after seeing Kelda and Callum. Good heavens, I haven't gotten around to posting about my trip to the Hebrides yet! I'd better finish that up. But an account of my trip to that point is here:
Lee's excellent Scottish Adventure. THanks, Chuck for a trip down memory lane!!

She sounds like a great teacher, and congratulations to you for winning those national competitions.  I'm impressed!   ;D

My plans, nothing much for this weekend except relaxing. Maybe some friends over, maybe a restaurant meal, who knows.  I never plan for the times of rest.

And I'll probably start organizing, if not actually packing clothes, for the following weekend, which is the AIDS walk in Boston.  That I do have to to plan.

Hi, Chuck.  Have fun picking out your new CDs.

You yourself will be gambling, or just chaperoning your parents?   :D
