Oh, as for what's going on behind our backs, the bar was run by two shirtless guys.  ;D  Behind us, one of the bartenders is taking a drink order from Paige Turner.

Looks like they got the bartenders from Chippendales.  ;D

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Hope that everyone is well!  ;D

It's Monday, but I'm on vacation!!! Slept in a little more than normally, dropped my car off at the shop, and then used my new lamination machine to work on "swag" for the goodie bags.

;D

I also managed to get my cube completely clean for the vacation, I left nothing pending!  ;D

I also took the pics from my tavel calendar home with me, until the day I return to work, so I can still post travel pics for a bit!  ;D

Looks like they got the bartenders from Chippendales.  ;D

I don't think they were Chippendales, but they could be closely related.  LOL

Chuck!

Just saw the third episode of The Walking Dead Season 2... Shane's gone evil! :-\

I was shocked, I had no idea that something like that would happen!  Damn!!!  I want to see if he redeems himself in future episodes.

Today's travel destination:

Madeira, Portugal.

Bottles of its vintage wine are still the pride of Madeira, a volcanic outcrop off the coast of Africa that has been ruled by Portugal since the 15th century.  Victorian Britons loved the wine and the place itself, with its "days of perpetual June."

I reckon he'll go crazy with guilt and top himself.

Hope that everyone is well!  ;D

I've been using my new lamination machine for the goodies for the bags, I really like it!  ;D  It's so easy to use, and works so well!

Today I'll be picking the car up from the shop, going bowling, and then tomorrow it's time to start packing.  ::)  I'm getting psyched about the trip!!!!

Today's travel destination:

Badlands, North Dakota.

Mother Nature is a creative scluptor.  Her talent is evident in The Badlands (picture taken from Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota).  For other "eroded wonderlands" you can also travel to:  Cappadocia, Turkey,  Arches National Park, Utah,  Monument Valley, Arizona & Utah,  Halong Bay, Vietnam.

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Oh, it has been soooo nice sleeping in and not having to be at work this week!

So, sorry I have missed it... where are you going this time?

Hiya Darlin'!  :-*

Tomorrow morning, I'm up early, and driving my way to Chicago!  ;D  I will be meeting up with about 12 or so Brokies and we'll be sight-seeing and going to the "Beyond Brokeback" experience at the Roosevelt Theatre.

Picked up the car yesterday, about $1,500.00 in repairs.  It was all necessary/due stuff, new tires, new battery, fluids flushed out and replaced, new brakes, the whole deal.  Fortunately, I knew this was coming, so I had been saving some cash aside for it.  With the winter coming, this all needed to be done anyway, and now I'm ready for the road trip.

Today's travel destination:

Cologne Cathedral, Germany

Take a 509-step hike to the windswept gallery high in the 515-foot south tower, and you have climbed the highest church tower in the world.  It took more than 600 years to complete the Dom, which was begun in the 12th century after Frederick Barbarossa donated the relics of the Three Magi to the city of Cologne.

Almost. Almost seen it.
Kerstin and I had planned see the cathedral on our way back from a EuroBrokie meeting in 2007. We took Leslie back with us then. But as it is with Brokies, sticking to time-tables is not always easy (*cough, cough* ;D ;)). So we didn't have the time for it and breezed right past Cologne.
This year, I came close once more for yet another Brokie gathering. Bochum, where we met last spring, is not too far from Cologne.
But what can I say: spending time with Brokies is simply better than touring old churches. :D

Drive safe, Bud! And have a blast. :-*
