Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!

Yup, that's me this morning.  As I type this I'm listening to a conference call as I type this.  LOL

I'm the only one here today at the moment, and I know three of the team is out today with time off.  Hopefully it will be a quiet day today.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''

Chuck, you missed my question about does the Skiddoo cost extra, and I'm wondering how you download it onto your Garmin?  I still haven't read the instructions on mine, but I know I would definitely prefer a funny voice.  Please let me know, or I'll go investigate that site further.   Thanks.

Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!

Not sure why I'm feeling tired today.  I thought I slept well last night, and I wasn't up much later than my usual bedtime.

Oh well.....what can you do?  I'm sure I'll get a second wind at one point.   ;D

My immediate supervisor said she wasn't going to be in today, but she didn't change her voicemail last night when she left, so I'm thinking she's changed her mind and will be in.   That reminds me, I have two days I have to use by the end of the year, I better schedule them.

Bowling night tonight!  I've been listening to the CDs I've burned, as it's my team's turn to supply the music.  Been a lot of fun going down memory lane.

This Tuesday's theme will be "One Hit Wonders", I've got 54 songs, various genres, from the 70s, 80s & 90s.  Should bring back a lot of memories.

Here's what I have.

Rebbie Jackson - Centipede
Regina - Baby Love
Roger - I Want To Be Your Man
Scandal - The Warrior

Hiya Mandy, not sure how the Garmin works.....I think it was about $10.00 to download the new voice, directly from the site to your computer.  After that, you had to dowload it from the computer to the Garmin (my case the TomTom) by connecting it to the computer via usb cord.

Sounds a bit like that language they were speaking in Cloud Atlas!

Wow, Chuckie!  Unbelievably creative and imaginative list.  Way to go!  I'd have to say Savage's "The Warrior" is my fave of all those songs.  You still hear it every once in a while on a radio station, and I always crank it up and scream the lyrics in my car.

Thanks for the info on the Skiddoo.  Once I get back home and to my car, I'll check it out and def download one of them.  $10 is a small price to pay for a permanent case of the giggles everytime you're behind the wheel.

I didn't see Cloud Atlas, nor do I intend to, Lee, but I think I see your point from the little I know of the movie.  Haha, it *was* a weird sentence, wasn't it?

From the titles and singers' names alone, I recognize maybe 3 or 4 of them. :laugh:
I'm sure if I listened to them, I'd recognize many more, if not most. I'm chronically bad with identifying music by name.
But I'm sure it's a great list. How did people like it?

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!  Mid-week, and only a short time to go to the weekend!

I have a holiday party to go to this weekend, I'm looking forward to that!  I also have two days off that I need to use before year's end, and I'm thinking I'll take the next two Wednesdays off, so I can stay late at bowling and not worry about getting up for work.  LOL

It seemed to go over well!  A lot of people enjoyed it, and a few people were coming over to me and trying to guess the names of the artists.

;D

Well, my score in recognizing is this:

70's = 11
80's = 6
90's = 1

 :laugh:  What does this say about me?  :laugh:

Actually, I think it shows something very interesting about my personal habits. I've never been much for listening to music while I'm just doing things at home. Listening to music on the radio was what I did while I was driving a car--and the last decade in which I drove a car on a regular basis was the 80's. I moved to the center of Philadelphia in the middle of that decade, and I haven't driven a car regularly since then.
