Hiya BetterMost friends.
Yesterday was for remembering Heath, today it's for Jackie.
Sometimes it just hits how many Brokie's we've lost along the way. Jenny (whom some of you have met at gatherings) put a New Year's Eve toast up on DCF that included this line:
the people who supported each other through the shock and grief of Heath's untimely death and the loss of some of our most beloved members: Jackie, Kitty, Rodney, Dal, Osprey, and Rich, our own rodeo cowboy Jenny's not a member here, so she wouldn't know to add Shasta to this as well. I mourn for all of them, and there are days that I still cry for Jackie and Rich.
I do my best to remember this poem, but sometimes I forget it.
Remember me with smiles and laughter,
For that's the way I'll remember you all.
If you can only remember me with tears,
Then don't remember me at all.I'm going to do my best to make today about laughter, because that's what Jackie would want.
Honey, when you have a "guest" in your bedroom, you're supposed to share the bed with him. That's kinda the point. ...
Honey, just because you're a man-whore doesn't mean I'm one.
Actually, I was referring to if an out-of-town Brokie should visit, and perhaps need a place to stay.
