Hiya BetterMost friends.




Remembering Heath today.  Did anyone do anything today?  I came to work in striped socks, I'll probably wear them to bowling too.

It was a good weekend.....had a family dinner on Sunday and got some gifts (a few new sweaters, some gift cards) and then went into the city yesterday for lunch with a friend.  I also spent some time going over my budget to see what I can afford in regards to rents and such for when I move.  That made it all the more 'real' for me, and gave me a clearer explanation of what I can do.  I'm feeling a bit better about it.  I can't swing a two bedroom place, however, I can get a nice place and a pull out sofa I can use when a guest is in my bedroom.

This week is a short work week (yay) and Friday is pay day.

Yesterday was for remembering Heath, today it's for Jackie.

Sometimes it just hits how many Brokie's we've lost along the way.  Jenny (whom some of you have met at gatherings) put a New Year's Eve toast up on DCF that included this line:

the people who supported each other through the shock and grief of Heath's untimely death and the loss of some of our most beloved members: Jackie, Kitty, Rodney, Dal, Osprey, and Rich, our own rodeo cowboy

Jenny's not a member here, so she wouldn't know to add Shasta to this as well.  I mourn for all of them, and there are days that I still cry for Jackie and Rich.

I do my best to remember this poem, but sometimes I forget it.

Remember me with smiles and laughter,
For that's the way I'll remember you all.
If you can only remember me with tears,
Then don't remember me at all.

I'm going to do my best to make today about laughter, because that's what Jackie would want.

I don't spend a lot of time looking at LOL Cats, but when I do, I tend to find a funny one.  ;D

Short work weeks are good!  Tomorrow is Friday, and pay day!  ;D 

My area was supposed to get snow this Friday evening, but now the weather men are scaling back their predictions.  I do hope we get a nice, big storm before winter is out.

Sunday is a party that the bowling league has put together.  Food and a DJ, should be fun.   ;D

Yup, it's Friday and pay day!

That "raining money" feeling sure doesn't last long, does it?  :laugh:   I've already done my budgeting stuff and the money is all in place to leave the accounts, except for what I stashed in savings.

Supposedly we're getting snow today, starting in late afternoon.  We'll see.  Should make the commute home interesting.  ::)

No big plans for Saturday, but Sunday is a bowlers luncheon with a DJ, this will be fun.
