My next door neighbour in Australia had 2 sons, both now in their 30's. She use to tell me how she could not wait for them to move out although they kept coming back to the flat below and on my last visit back the youngest was living there with his male partner.

When I first bought an apartment my mother use to regularly visit and clean while I was at work and would not let me stop her. I did take her out to dinner as I drove her home.

I had an argument with a lesbian at a conference who was deriding gay guys who let their mothers clean for them. My mother would have been so hurt if I had prevented her. Later I moved to a house too far away but whenever she was visiting I had to hide the ironing.  ;D
