Wow Chuck thats fantastic place!! It looks great but will look better when you and your gear is inside. You have so much cupboard space and many closets in the bedroom - I can see a shopping spree is in order!!

Have a great day shifting in and making it home

Yeah, Chuckie! You did it  :D

Now there's an idea: having the housewarming party before actually moving in. You'll never have so much space again in your apartment as you do now. Could save trouble and damage ;D

So American! The entry door leads directly into the living room. I remember when I started noticing this in US movies and TV series. Always found it very, very strange, and still do. In Germany the entry door leads to a corridor, even if it's only a small one. Of course, the extra corridor takes away space from other rooms, so I couldn't say one solution is better than the other, just that the American one is funny to me. ;D

Your right side neighbours will be quiet and won't give you trouble. ;D And the view is idyllic.
The whole apartment looks like a great place, I like it.

You've been waiting and planning so long on this step, and now it's coming true. I'm very happy for you, congrats again! :-*

Here are pics of the new place I'm moving to as of May 1st.  The apartment is already vacated, so I can start moving stuff in tomorrow.

We can start with the keys to the place.  LOL

Aw, that's cute. The symbol of your new life.

I can't help but commenting on this.

I was astonished when I came to America for the first time and noticed that people's front doors really led directly into the living room, just like in movies!

In Sweden, you would never find this kind of entrance to an apartment or house. There's always some kind of hallway, small or big, with a coat hanger and somewhere to put your shoes (we usually take our shoes off when entering a home). Sometimes the hallway is really big, with room enough for some kind of furniture too. That will of course take away from the size of the rooms.

When I see people entering a living room from outside in a movie, I always think to myself: "what do they do in winter, with their wet overcoats and dirty shoes?"   ;D

My kitchen

Oh, I like a kitchen with the window above the sink!

3rd closet, the linen closet.

Lots of closets, and spacious ones too!

You could easily put up more shelves if you need more storage room.

My neighbors to the right.

LOL

To the left I have the Garden State Parkway.

I doubt they'll bother you with noisy parties and such...    ::) :D

Oops, sorry for hogging your thread, Chuck.

I just got carried away when I saw your place!

I like it, it's a really nice place. You'll have lots of fun moving in, settling down and making it yours!

I'll shut up now, just one more thing:

"Bet you could fix this place up real nice if you'd want to."   ;)
