Hi Chuck, Why did I think of you when reading our local paper this morning?
Zombies worrying school's principalSat, 16 Nov 2013
Zombies are causing problems at Pembroke School in Oamaru, through a television show which is affecting children's education.
Pembroke School principal Brent Godfery became concerned about his pupils watching The Walking Dead after seeing them ''walking around pretending to be zombies''.
He asked a class how many pupils had watched the show and was surprised when about a third of them put their hands up.
He believed the show's violence was inappropriate for children and could be harmful or frightening.
Staying up to watch the show, which finished at 10.30pm, left pupils tired and moody the next day, Mr Godfery said. Parents needed to be firm and ensure children did not watch inappropriate shows, he said.
